Day & Bird-Watching Trips

Our day trips – suitable for the general public – with our rigid-hulled inflatable zodiac are guided by marine biologists and last 5-6 hours depending on weather conditions.
The costs are 135 $ / person (children 105 $): a thermo-suit is included in the price, but you have to bring warm boots, warm cloths, sun protection, and your lunch.

The St. Lawrence is also renowned for its bird life. A multitude of habitats provide resting and breeding areas for a diversity of sea birds and wading birds. We offer dedicated bird-watching trips and interesting packages for groups, tailored to your needs.

Our mooring site is in Les Escoumins, just at the north-eastern border of the Marine Park and close to the centre of the blue whale and humpback whale feeding area.
Besides, we are the only scientific excursion boat in the St. Lawrence Estuary.

In general we offer day trips from June to mid-October, but only outside our field course time windows. In other words, in 2020 no day trips during the following time windows:
19.7. – 31.7.2021. 16.8. – 28.8.2021 and 13.9. – 25.9.2021

For safety reasons, we are only going on the water with good meteorological conditions. Therefore it is advisable to be in the vicinity for several days in order to be able to postpone the excursion if necessary.
The decision will be made the day before the excursion.
Notice that you have to pay cash on site.
